Exhibition by Rens Benerink
Friday, June 17, Rens Benerink's official exhibition about his explicit and amazing pieces of art will open. The exhibition can be seen at Café Americain.
Rens Benerink was born in Amsterdam on June 7, 1950
Rens Benerink started his career at Toonder Studios at the comics department. Not long after this he switched to the animation and commercial department. While he was there, he ended up working on the Animated Features Asterix & Cleopatra and Lucky Luke.
After this he worked as an art director for several record companies such as Warner Brothers, Atlantic and RCA. He was working in The Netherlands in internationally.
He eventually designed over 150 album covers, where he was responsible for the art-direction and the logo designs.
After this, he went back to his roots and created and produced the children’s animation series ‘’StarStreet’’. It was broadcasted in over 60 countries.
After StarStreet he freelanced as a designer for fashion labels such as CoolCat, Diesel and Replay, as well as for several advertising agencies.
Many years later he started painting again.
